Setting up Netscape
Communicator 4.5 and up
Step 1
Click on the "Edit" menu.
Click on the "Preferences" selection.

Step 2
Click on the "Mail Servers" selection on the left. If
"Mail Servers" isn't listed, click the + sign next to
"Mail and Newsgroups".
Click the "Edit" button next to the "Incoming Mail Server"
box.

Fill in the "Incoming Mail Server" blank as "mail.domain.com"
where the domain.com is the domain you'd like to
get your E-mail. (Example: If your E-mail address is [email protected],
your domain is altoona.com, so you'd enter "mail.altoona.com".)
Fill in the "Mail Server User Name" blank as username%domain.com.
(Example: jsmith%lazerlink.com, jsmith%statecollege.com,
jsmith%altoona.com, etc.).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure the "Mail Server User Name"
has the % (percent sign) rather than the @ (at sign).
If it has the @ (at sign), it won't work.

Click OK.
That's it! Netscape Communicator 4.5+ now should be able
to check and send E-mail.
